“Heartstrings is a terrific group with great musicianship and tight vocal harmonies,” said Will Nichols, producer of the free show.
“They have been sharing the Gospel message in song since 2005. It’s their third appearance on the Jubilee and we couldn’t be more excited about their show Friday evening.”
Comprised of Cindy Oliver, Dale Sneed, Jerry Lance, Angie Black, Jimmy Sneed and Jackie Parris, the group released its first CD in 2011. While their musical influences span multiple genres, Bluegrass and Southern Gospel styles tend to be their main fares.
The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee is held at the Cleveland Cowboy Church in the Dockery Heights community between Blue Springs and Blackburn Roads. It features both Gospel and moral secular music performed in a variety of genres.
Also appearing on the Jubilee will be Southern gospel singer Amy McAlister, singer-songwriter Elmer Bramlett, Emily Varnell, as well as the Cowboy Church Band and Chorale.
