Marcie “Jean” Looper, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in a Chattanooga health care facility. She was a member of Restoration Fellowship where she was involved in the music ministry. She was retired from South Central Bell after 39 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

She was the daughter of the late Hugh E. Pritchard Sr. and Floy Freeman Pritchard. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Elvyn P. Gunter, Leslie P. Gaither and Mary P. Horn Barnhart; and brothers, Woodie F. Pritchard and Hugh E. Pritchard Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert H. Looper; daughter, Melody Craig; granddaughter, Crystal Aikman, all of Cleveland; brother, Robert Pritchard of Sevierville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at the Restoration Fellowship with Pastor John Looper and Melody Craig officiating. A private inurnment will be held Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service.
