Harold L. “Bucky” Geren Jr., 66, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, in a Chattanooga health care facility.
He was a 1965 graduate of Bradley Central High School, where he lettered in football.
He retired from the United States Marine Corps as a master gunnery sergeant after 22 ½ years of service and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold L. Geren Sr. and Monterey Flummer Geren.
Survivors include his sister, Tana Cope of Cleveland; nephews: Jason R. Cope and Ryan C. Cope, both of Cleveland; and two great-nieces: Kaley Cope and Cameron Cope, both of Cleveland.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors. The funeral procession will depart at 1:30 p.m. from Fike Funeral Home.
