Library Corner: ‘The Butler’ to be shown on Movie Night Tuesday

The Friends of the Library Association has announced C.A. Griffith will be the guest speaker for their Evening Author Event on April 29.

Griffith has authored two books; his first was “Code of Misconduct, Conduct Unbecoming,” and he just recently released “Code of Misconduct II.” As well as being a gifted writer, he is a major at the Cobb County (Ga.) Sheriff’s Office. More information will be available soon.

Movie Night @ the Library will be showing Oscar Contenders this year. Join us for Lee Daniel’s “The Butler,” on Tuesday in the Community Room at 6:30 p.m.

The following computer classes are available for registration: Basic Computers: March 5 and 6 from 3 to 5 p.m.; Email: March 12 and 13 from 3 to 5 p.m.; Excel: March 24, 25 and 26 from 3 to 5 p.m.; Internet: March 10 and 11 from 10 a.m. to noon; PowerPoint: March 19 and 20 from 3 to 5 p.m.; Transitions — Moving from Windows 7 to Windows 8: March 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to noon; and Word: March 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.

All classes are free of charge with a valid library card and are available at a first-come, first-served basis. Call the Non-Fiction Desk to register at 472-2163.
