Tri-State Exhibition Center will be the venue for a new competition, and organizers hope the first-ever Foothills Classic Youth Beef Show will continue to grow.

According to Mack Hess, the facility is home to a number of community, state and national events held each year.

The Foothills Country Fair is one of those events.

Keeping with the agri-industry theme, Tri-State was chosen for the Foothills Classic Beef Show.

Hess said invitations have been sent to 13 counties that participate in 4-H.

Registration and weigh-in will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday and end at 10:30 a.m., with the show beginning at 11 a.m.

“It’s supposed to be a beautiful, warm and sunny day and we hope to have a good turnout,” Hess said.

Tri-State Exhibition Center is located just off Interstate 75 at Exit 20, then west on Pleasant Grove Road to Nature’s Trail.
