Mikel R. Kinder, 32, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 26, 2014, in a local hospital.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Buster Kinder; maternal grandparents, Robert and Jean Stough; and paternal grandparents, John Henry and Mary Ruth Kinder.
He was a 2000 graduate of Bradley Central High School where he wrestled for the State Champion Bears. He was employed with Peyton’s Southeastern as a forklift trainer with nine years of service.
He loved the outdoors including camping, hiking, being on the water and was an avid snowboarder. He enjoyed traveling internationally with his wife to Europe and Australia. He was a member of Trinity Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Cana Still-Kinder of Cleveland; mother, Susan Arterburn and her husband, Johnny, of Vero Beach, Fla.; sister, Britney Reid and her husband, Bill, and brother, Gaven Kinder, all of Cleveland, nieces: Allie Grace Reid and Mia Reid; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
The Remembrance of Life Memorial service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 4 p.m. from the Trinity Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Bishop officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Mikel Kinder Memorial Fund, in care of Regions Bank.
The Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of arrangements.
