Teachers host special days with students in line with scholastic standards, as well as their students’ creativity.
Yates Primary students celebrated 100 days at school with a tower of cups. Students were permitted to stack a cup on top of the growing tower for every math problem completed successfully.
Fathers, stepfathers and grandfathers of Valley View Elementary students answered the call for help. Volunteers serve as positive role models while providing an extra dose of safety for children at the school.
The elementary students also took a step into some very big shoes recently when they led the parent conferences. Caregivers listened as students discussed books, math scores and assignments.
Walker Valley High School put in the hours to make a cartoon classic spring to life onstage. Students gleefully took up the task of playing Shrek, Fiona and the rest of the fairytale cast.
