Thefts of copper continue to be reported to Bradley County authorities. A cellular phone tower location, a flower shop and a church were the latest locations where HVAC units and copper were taken.
According to a report filed by deputy Daniel Watson, Sharon Spencer said someone took an air unit, two cooler compressors and an enamel sink from outside her flower shop located on York Lane.
The theft was reported late last week, according to Watson. Spencer estimated her loss at $1,200.
A representative of AT&T reported the theft of copper from a Pleasant Grove Road site.
John Finnell filed a report Sunday after discovering copper wire and ground rods missing.
Finnell told deputy Robert O’Daniel his company had received an alarm and he went to the tower and found the items missing.
Damage and loss were estimated at $1,460.
A commercial rug shampoo machine, and two bicycles were taken, along with camping supplies, during a burglary from a storage building on a resident’s property.
Bill Shelton filed a report with deputy Kolby Duckett.
According to the report, Shelton said the theft occurred at his Jeffery Lane address, possibly over the weekend.
Items being stored inside the building were also vandalized.
Entry had been gained by breaking a window, according to Duckett.
Damage and loss were estimated at $1,400.
Neighbors were able to provide possible suspect information, which has been passed on to Criminal Investigations Division detectives.
