BLACK FOX Elementary’s physical education teachers and students recently wrapped up their Jumprope for Heart and Hoops for Heart events. Students raised $3,500 for the American Heart Association. Twelve students raised $100 or more, and the top fundraiser, Anesia Erickson, raised $320. Students also competed for prizes in jump rope and hoops contests. Prizes went to the top male and female in each category. Categories for jump rope were trick and endurance, and in hoops they were free throw, lay-up, 3-point shot and hot shot. Black Fox beat last year's record for donations by $1,000.
