Open house planned at YMCA Sunday

The Cleveland Family YMCA will host an open house Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Y-staff will be on hand to give tours as well as showcase programs and classes that are available at the Y.

This event is open to members and non-members.

Special camp, swim lesson and membership booths will be on display.

All open house participants will receive a free gift and anyone who joins the Y that day will have the joining fee waived, said Lee McChesney, Cleveland Family YMCA vice president and executive director.

The Y offers scholarships for all those who apply and qualify.

Some of the day’s highlights will include the opportunity to watch or participate in fitness classes.

The 30-minute classes include Tabata, Yoga, Pilates Mat and more.

2 p.m. — LIFT Program (women’s barbell-training)

Barre None Program (Ballet-based Workout)

2:30 p.m. — Yoga class Rajesh Studio Cycle class

3 p.m. — Tabata class

TRX Program (Suspension Training)

3:30 p.m. — AOA class (Active Older Adults)

Pilates Mat class

The Pilates Studio will also be open for tours.

Demonstrations will be held from 2 to 3:30pm.
