Maggi Burns, District III director, conducted the business meeting. Debbie Shaver, D III Awards chairman, presented awards to participating clubs.
Aldersgate placed in the following categories:
First-place awards were Conservation (club); Conservation (individual) — Kay Cox; Environmental Education (club); Garden Therapy without client participation (club); Horticulture (Club); Horticulture (Individual) — Cynthia Humes; Program (Individual) — Cynthia Humes, How to Make a Butterfly Garden; and Scrapbook (small club).
Second-place awards were Horticulture (Individual) — Charlotte Scott; Public Relations (club); National Garden Week (club); and Yearbook, 20 Members and Under (club).
After lunch, the evening program was “Who’s Dreaming of Convention” presented by Maggi Burns, district director/convention chairman.
The TFFC Convention will be hosted by District III, April 1-2 at the Chattanooga Marriott Hotel.
