Lillie Pearl Stump, 90, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014, in a local hospital.
She was born in Loudon County on Dec. 15, 1923, a daughter of the late Riley and Callie Franklin.
She was of the Baptist faith. She and her late husband, Harold, made Kansas City their home for more than 35 years. For the past 12 years, she has lived with family in Cleveland.
She and her husband were very active in their church and served in many capacities during their lifetime.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stump; one sister, Axie Franklin Maynard; and two brothers: Cliff Franklin and Fred Franklin.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two nieces: Glenda Reed and her husband, Jeff, and Betty Neely; one nephew, Jimmy Maynard and his wife, Shirley, all of Cleveland; several great- nieces and great-nephews; and numerous other extended family members.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in a graveside service to be held today, April 8, 2014, at 3 p.m. in the Davis Cemetery in Lenoir City with the Rev. Gene Smith officiating.
