Library Corner: ‘The Armstrong Lie’ will be showing today

“2nd Sundays @ 2” will be showing “The Armstrong Lie” documentary today in the Community Room of your Cleveland Bradley County Public Library.

This monthly series provides library patrons with various programs throughout the year. This free event is open to the public.

The Friends of the Library Association will not host a Book and Coffee review this month, due to the library’s closing on Good Friday.

Tickets are still available for the “Evening with the Author,” featuring Chris Griffith on April 24 at the Cleveland Country Club. Advanced reservations are required for the “Meet the Author” reception at 6 p.m. Tickets for the Book Talk at 7:30 p.m. are available at the library, at the door for $5 or free with a student ID.

The new Adult Book Club will meet Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Carmichael House Conference Room. Book selections for the upcoming months will be made. All interested patrons are invited to attend.

There will be a Library Tour Thursday at 4 p.m. Get a chance to see the behind-the-scenes places where all the library book action takes place. No reservations required. Meet in the lobby by 4 p.m.

There will be Lego Club meetings this week on Tuesday for children ages 5-7, and on Thursday for those ages 8-12. Lego Club members are working on projects for the November Lego Weekend featuring Healthy Choices. There is no cost to attend Lego Club.

Registration continues for Zumba classes beginning April 29. Classes will be taught each Tuesday and Thursday and continue through May 29.

Movie Night @ the Library featuring Oscar Nominees will present “Gravity” on April 22 at 6:30 p.m., starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney (rated PG-13).

The library will be closed Friday and Easter Sunday.
