Bonnie Ruth Bishop, 87, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, in a Chattanooga hospital.
She was born on May 22, 1926, a daughter of the late John and Emma Harden. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed spending her spare time checking out the local yard sales.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Bishop; two sons: Ricky Bishop and Terry Bishop; one sister, Opel Suits; and three brothers: Jim Ruble, John Harden and Sam Harden.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two grandchildren: Shannon Bishop and David Bishop; one great-grandson, that was her “pride and joy”, Brody Bishop; one sister, Aileen Wooten; a special friend and neighbor Anna Ruth Crumley; several nieces, nephews, other extend family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road, tonight, April 16, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m.
A celebration of her life will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Ronnie Bishop officiating.
The interment and committal service will take place in the Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday morning, April 17, 2014 at 11 a.m.
