The Walker Valley football boosters will host “An Evening With Inky Johnson” on May 1 at First Baptist Church.

The former Tennessee Volunteer saw his football career come to an end due to a severe injury in a game against Air Force on Sept. 9, 2006.

The outcome of a routine tackle gone awry left Johnson with a paralyzed right arm.

While Inquoris “Inky” Johnson’s playing career was forced to an untimely end, he was able to see past his own personal tragedy and use his experience for good.

The former Vol is now an author, motivational speaker and host of the radio show “INKspirations,” which is broadcast on Tennessee Sports Radio.

“An Evening With Inky Johnson” begins at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening for general admission seating at 7 p.m.

General admission tickets for the event can be purchased at Walker Valley High School for $25. If preferred, a private table seating up to eight can be purchased for $800, or $100 per seat.

Dinner, a photograph with Johnson and autograph are included with the purchase of a table. The program begins at 5:30 p.m.
