The Lee University softball team outscored Christian Brothers University 22-3 to sweep a Gulf South Conference doubleheader against Saturday afternoon at Butler Field.

The Lady Flames (22-22, 12-14 GSC) won game one 11-1 and finished the day with an 11-2 mark over the Lady Bucs (9-37, 2-26 GSC).

The final game of the three-game series in scheduled for 2 this afternoon. Lee will honor its three seniors, Meg Macias, Ana Coscorrosa and Hannah Hight, at the game's completion.

Game 2

Lady Flames 11, CBU 2

Lee posted four runs in the second inning, one more in the third and six in the fourth to post the run-shortened win. The Lady Flames tallied 12 hits in the win.

Lexie Dean led the Lee offense with a 3-for-3 performance, including an RBI and one run scored. Dominique Hannah and Jesse Giles each tallied two hits with one double. Giles drove in two runs.

Lizzie Stevens made the most of her lone hit of the game with a grand slam in the fourth inning.

Annabeth Pruett scattered four hits and allowed one run in four innings to earn the win. Pruett (6-3) walked one and struck out two.

Hight pitched the final inning. She allowed one unearned run and two hits.

Game 1

Lady Flames 11, CBU 1

Coscorrosa was 3-for-3 with two home runs to lead the 14-hit Lee attack. The senior drove in six runs and scored three times.

Amanda Lynn, Dean, Hannah and Laurel Allen stroked two hits each. Dean doubled, drove in three runs and scored three runs. Lynn scored once, while Allen crossed the plate twice.

Hannah added a triple to the total, and Stevens drove in two runs.

Angie Hughes pitched four innings of shutout ball to earn the win. Hughes (14-11) walked two and struck out four. Hight was tagged with three hits and one run in one inning.
