Steve Williams

Steve Williams

Steve Williams attended Cleveland State from 1970-71. During his time at Cleveland State, he was a member of both the Cougar basketball and baseball teams. He received his associate of science in education and later transferred to Carson-Newman, where he received his bachelor of science, also in education.

After graduating from Carson-Newman, Williams taught at Bradley Central High School and coached boys’ basketball for 12 years. Williams later attended Life University for chiropractic studies and has been practicing chiropractic care for over 25 years now.

Williams has a son, Chad, and a daughter, Kaylan, and three grandchildren, Breton, 16, Cale, 10, and Paulina, 8.

Bob McIntire

Bob McIntire attended Cleveland State from 1976-78. During that time, he was a member of the golf team. He received his associate of science degree in architectural technology and later continued his education and golf career at Lee College (now Lee University) after graduation. He was the first golfer at Lee to be awarded an athletic scholarship.

Active in the community, he serves on the board of directors of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Development Board, chairs the Economic Development Council, serves on the board of directors for Life Bridges Inc. as its treasurer, serves as a trustee for the Cleveland State Foundation and is a member of First Baptist Church, serving on its stewardship committee.

He is a past president of the Cleveland Civitan Club, past lieutenant governor of the Appalachian District of Civitan and has served on advisory board of numerous insurance companies including Bituminous Insurance, St. Paul Insurance, Central Insurance, Grange Insurance, Celina Insurance and Builders Mutual Insurance. He is a past board member of the Professional Insurance Agents of Tennessee and the Insurers of Tennessee.

He has been married to his wife, Melinda, for 30 years. They have a son, Robby, who is married to Amber, a daughter, Emily Jones, who is married to Jeremy Jones, and one grandchild, Haley Jones.

Today, the owner of McIntire and Associates Insurance still enjoys golf, as well as travel, hunting and fishing.

Mike Bell

Mike Bell was born and raised in Bradley County. He attended North Lee Elementary before moving on to and graduating from Bradley Central High School in 1981. After graduation, Bell received an associate’s degree from Cleveland State Community College.

Bell was elected to the Tennessee State House of Representatives in 2006. While in the House, Bell served on the Agriculture Committee, Children and Family Committee, Conservation and Environment Committee, Consumer and Employee Affairs Committee, and Government Operations Committee.

He was elected to the Tennessee State Senate in 2010. He represents the 9th Senatorial District, which includes Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe and Polk counties. Bell is the chairman of the Senate Government Operations Committee. He also serves on the Energy, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee as well as the Judiciary Committee.

Bell was a 20-year member of the Claxton Volunteer Emergency Services. He is a current member of the Farm Bureau, Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce, the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, the Etowah Area Chamber of Commerce, the Meigs County Chamber of Commerce and the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce.

He has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 29 years. They have five children, Michaela, 16, Rachael, 19, Zack, 22, Laura, 24, and Nathan, 26. They have one grandchild, Rory, 1. Laura is a graduate of Cleveland State and Nathan is a current student of Cleveland State.

Bell is a small-business man who is currently working with his oldest son. Bell is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing.

Katie McDonald Holt

Katie McDonald Holt attended Cleveland State from 2007-09 and graduated with her associate of science degree in 2009. She later transferred to Lee University, in the fall of 2009. She received her bachelor of arts degree in education in 2011.

During college, Holt worked at First Tennessee Bank, but currently teaches 10th grade English in Walker Valley High School’s STEM Academy.

She has been married to her husband, Brandon, for almost five years, and they have a 2-month-old son, Sam.

In her spare time, Holt enjoys scrapbooking, sewing, painting, drawing and writing fiction.
