POLK COUNTY’S CODY GROOMES recently signed a scholarship to play basketball at Bryan College. Groomes averaged 13.1 points per game and four rebounds a game while leading the Wildcats in scoring, blocked shots and rebounding during the 2013-14 season. He was also selected to the 5-AA, All-District and All-Tournament teams, 5AA for the Season and District 5AA All-Tournament team. "Cody is a quality young man that has been big part of our success that past two seasons. He has worked hard for a chance to play college basketball and it’s exciting to see him get this type of opportunity at a great place like Bryan College," said Wildcats coach Rusty Brewer.
