Cleveland High graduation set for Friday

Senior Cleveland High School Raiders will walk across the graduation stage Friday evening at 7 in Benny Monroe Stadium.

Speakers Ansley McCarley, Tyler Davis, Chris Ofori and Logan Baggerly will address their peers and those in attendance.

Class President McCarley is the daughter of Ken and Ann McCarley. In addition to her role as student body president, she is an Anchor Club officer and organized a new service project at CHS, “Food for Families.” The service project provided food for 56 families in the elementary schools.

McCarley plans to attend East Tennessee State University where she will major in communicative disorders in order to become a speech pathologist.

Both Davis and Ofori were selected by the Senior Raider Scholar Honor Graduates to address their peers Friday.

Davis is the son of Breck and Kimberly Davis. He has participated in Model United Nations, Beta Club, SGA and as an officer in Achor Club. He was a state qualifier in track and field, in addition to being named Best of Preps and an All-District wide receiver.

He will attend West Point in the fall to play football for Army. Davis plans on majoring in mechanical engineering.

Ofori is the son of Samuel and Leticia Ofori. He ran track, played football and participated in the Model United Nations and Health Occupation Students of America.

He will attend the University of Tennessee. He plans to major in pre-med/biomedical engineering.

The Class of 2014 chose Baggerly as class representative.

He is the son of Lee and Cathy Baggerly and received the senior superlative “Most Unique.” He participated in both Model United Nations and Film Club. He enjoys rock climbing and works at Gabriel’s Pizza.

Baggerly will attend Lee University to major in telecommunications.

In the event of inclement weather, the graduation ceremony will take place at North Cleveland Church of God.
