Friday’s sessions are 7:15 to 8:45 p.m., with Saturday’s sessions begin at 9 a.m. with plans to conclude at noon.
“With the institution of marriage suffering in our society, our marriages need to be strengthened in every way possible,” said Jeff Archey, East Side’s evangelist. “However, it is our plea to take a ‘proactive’ approach and strengthen marriages so husbands and wives can be prepared for what comes their way.”
Friday evening’s session is titled “Marriage, First Things First” and will focus on the husband and wife relationship. Saturday morning’s session is called “Parents Under Construction” and will address the parenting relationship.
The speaker for this seminar is David Shannon of Mount Juliet. Shannon is a native of Centerville. He and his wife, Tracie are parents of Colton, Lacie and Emilie. They say God has blessed them with two additional sons, Rong Yang and Chris Malone.
“No question, we are excited to have David,” says Archey. “His work as an evangelist at the Mount Juliet Church of Christ and his work with the family are Biblically based and trustworthy of one’s faith. Everyone will greatly benefit from the study with David as he will bring forth the Word of God — the greatest guide for the family.”
The workshop is free with Saturday breakfast provided. Free child care is also available, but please call ahead and register your children.
There is also a coffee and dessert session after the Friday evening sessions.
“We invite all husbands and wives to join us,” said Archey.
Plenty of parking is available. Call 472-0901 for more information, or to register for child care.
