Bradley County 4-H had 31 youth advance from the County Demonstration Contest to the Multi-County/Sub-Region Demonstration Contest in Dayton for the Southeastern Corner (SEC) on May 3.

The contest is for children from Bledsoe, Bradley, Hamilton, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Polk and Rhea counties to present a 3-5 minute “how-to” speech in a variety of areas.

The following youth were winners in their areas at the SEC contest:

Fourth-grade Consumer Education: Liz Hooker, Hopewell Elementary, first place.

Fourth-grade Personal Development: Kyra Sims, Hopewell Elementary, first place.
