Reba Timmons, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend to many, left the pain, trials and bondage of this world on Saturday, May 17, 2014.

She passed peacefully in her sleep Saturday evening, May 17, 2014, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Not one for formalities, she would often prefer to be called Reba or “Mamaw” if being introduced by her children or grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.E. “Bill” Timmons; her parents, Arlie and Essie Branam; and her daughter, Becky Quinn.

She worked at Woolworth’s in Cleveland for nearly two decades and owned multiple businesses with her husband over the years.

She was an active member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church of Cleveland and proud to be in the Church choir. She absolutely loved her church and church family. She participated in many church activities and church trips. She enjoyed every second of life and hardly ever looked at a situation negatively. She was always able to see the brighter side of life and able to point out the positive during adversity.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Quinn; her grandchildren: Matthew Quinn and his wife, Jennifer, and Jessica Tucker; and her great-grandson, Matthew Quinn Jr.

A memorial service will be held at her beloved church, Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to her church. You may mail donations payable to Wesley Memorial UMC, 3405 Peerless Road, Cleveland TN 37312 for the Reba Timmons Memorial, or call 423-472-9578.
