Barbara Ann Hollingshead Trout, 53, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, in a local hospital.
She was born in Tellico Plains on Oct. 9, 1960, a daughter of the late Melvin and Juanita Hollingshead. She will be greatly missed by all her family and all those who had the opportunity to meet her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Adkins.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her longtime boyfriend, Cyrus Trout; daughter, Amanda Cass and her husband, Michael; two grandsons: Quentin Powell and Cameron Cass: stepdaughter, Christy Smith; stepgranddaughter, Gracy Smith; two sisters: Marie Burkett (Tony) and Wanda Ratliff (Danny); and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A memorial gathering in which the family will receive friends is planned for this evening, June 10, 2014, from 5 until 7 in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road.
The family is planning a private burial on Wednesday in the Ball Play Cemetery in Tellico Plains.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made the American Cancer Society in Barbara’s memory.
