Firearms and other items were reportedly taken during a burglary at a Strawhill Road residence.

According to a report filed by deputy Tim Bohannon, he spoke with Robert Hembree who noticed a window at his home broken in April.

A report was filed Monday indicating three guns, a safe and a digital camera had been discovered missing from the home.

According to the report, Hembree had already replaced the window, and no evidence was available for collection.

Criminal Investigations Division detectives are in charge of the case.

Loss was estimated at $1,800.

- An entryway to a subdivision was damaged due to vandalism, according to a report late last week.

According to a report filed by deputy Jasper McDonald, he responded to Windcrest Place and spoke with the president and vice president of the homeowners’ association.

Brian Johnson and Christy Kurbis said someone had defaced the sign at the entrance of the community by ripping off the letters and damaging the stone around the sign.

Two light fixtures were also broken during the vandalism incident.

The incident was believed to have occurred during the late afternoon hours Thursday, or early morning hours Friday.

Damage to the sign was estimated at $2,500.
