CSCC hosts information sessions this summer

Cleveland State Community College will be hosting Electrical Maintenance and Healthcare Information Sessions throughout the summer on Cleveland State’s main campus.

The dates for the information sessions for the Allied Health associate of applied science degree and Medical Informatics will take place at 5:30 in the lobby of the Technology Building on Thursday and June 30. There will also be two more on Thursday, July 17, and Tuesday, Aug. 5, that will include Allied Health and Medical Informatics, but these will also include Medical Assisting. These will also be at 5:30 in the Technology Building lobby.

“Cleveland State is pleased to offer degree options in a variety of healthcare fields,” stated Nancy LaBine, dean of Health and Wellness / director of Nursing.

“These new options will assist individuals to degree completion and hopefully, open doors for employment in the field. We always look forward to meeting eager students at information sessions and helping them take that next step.”

Cleveland State is also offering Electrical Maintenance Information Sessions on Saturday, July 12, at the Athens campus and on the main campus in room 134 of the Technology Building on Saturday, July 19 ,and Saturday, Aug. 9. All sessions will begin at 9 a.m.

These sessions will provide information on how to earn an additional second certificate in Climate Control by attending Saturday classes for Electrical Maintenance while simultaneously attending classes two nights per week to earn both the Electrical Maintenance and the Climate Control Technology Certificate.

“In addition to regularly scheduled classes, the Industrial Technology Department at Cleveland State Community College is pleased to offer the Electrical Maintenance Certificate on a Saturday schedule,” stated Dr. Sal Mirza, dean of Business and Technology.

“Beginning in the fall, this one year program offers the foundational classes that prepare you to obtain one of the following jobs: Electrical Maintenance Technician, Electrical Installer, and Repairer, Maintenance Electrician, Industrial Maintenance Electrician or Industrial Electrician. We look forward to being a part of your journey.”
