Ida Nell King, 74, a lifelong resident of Athens and Decatur, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at her home.
She was of the Baptist faith. She lived 18 years of life with her husband, Thomas Humphrey.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard King; her father, Nelson McKinney; her mother, Bruce All Redman; one son, Randell King; one stepdaughter, Millie; and one grandson, Toby Vance.
In addition to Thomas, she leaves behind to cherish her memory: one daughter, Brenda Vance and son-in-law, Victor Ulokovic; one son, Roger King; two grandsons: Brian and Brady King, both of Athens; three stepsons: Paul, Larry and Rick (Mary) King, all of Decatur; eight stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a couple of great-great-grandchildren; one special cousin, Norman Taylor; one brother-in-law, Ray Biven; sister-in-law, Jennifer Hicks of Cleveland; and several extended family members and a host of friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, with the Rev. Albert Gentry officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 until the 4 p.m. service time.
