The United Club will meet Tuesday at the Golden Corral at 11:30 a.m. Shanna Weekes, Spanish translator and mission worker in The Church of God, will be the guest speaker. The public is invited. For more information about the United Club, contact Martha Bostic at 479-9207.

Americorps Vista at Family Promise of Bradley County is holding an educational program to raise awareness in the community about poverty and homelessness. The event will be at the Cleveland YMCA on Tuesday nights through July 22 at 6 p.m.

AT THE LIBRARY:

— The Wednesday afternoon matinee at 2 p.m. will feature “Meet the Robinsons.” This G-rated movie will be fun for all ages. Stay for games following the movie until 5:30 p.m. in our Community Room.

— Movie Night@the Library will feature “Saving Mr. Banks” on June 24 at 6:30 p.m. Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson bring to life the untold true story about the origins of one of the most treasured Disney classics of all time. “Saving Mr. Banks” reveals the surprising story behind the making of Mary Poppins (Rated PG-13).

— An Adult Book Club for ages 18 and older meets the third Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Carmichael House Conference Room. Call the library if you are interested in attending the Adult Book Club.

— A Father-Son Breakfast will be held in the Community Room July 26 from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Come prepared to build something wonderful. To sign up, stop by the Children’s Desk, call 472-2163 or go online.

— National Teen Lock-In will be held at the library from 7 p.m. on Aug. 1 until 7 a.m. on Aug. 2. This event is limited to 35 teens and a mandatory parent/teen meeting is required to attend. FITNESS CLASSES:

— Join the Faith & Fitness Zumba class which meets each week at The Salvation Army on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., and Thursday at 6 a.m. and noon. The licensed instructor is Regina Williams. Bring a friend and check out new songs and new dances that are easy and fun to learn. For more information, call 310-9557.

— TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) local chapter meets every Monday at Wesleyan Methodist Church on Peerless Road. Private weigh-ins are from 5 to 5:30 p.m.; meeting is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. A TOPS category for children ages 7-18 is available. For more information, call 472-9628 or 593-4727.
