Richard Leland Thompson, 64, of Apison, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 17, 1949, to the late R.L Thompson and Doris Swanson. He was a lifelong resident of this area.
He worked as a painter in the automotive industry, where he was a perfectionist with his work.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Michael Brooks and Charles “Bo Bo” Brooks; and one sister, Beverly Thompson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 45 years, Brenda Thompson; son, Richard Lewis Thompson (Robin); daughter, Theresa Bryson (Terry); two sisters: Sandra Parkerson (Willie) and Janice Thompson Hope; three grandchildren: Ronnie Antle Jr., Kenya Romines and Kristel Romines; two great-grandchildren: Kyree Mae and Cooper Antle; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Richard’s home on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at 4 p.m.
They will have a visitation period from 3 to 4 p.m. before the service.
