Eric Tyler Johnson, 16, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday afternoon, June 23, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1997. He was of the Baptist faith. He was getting ready to enter 11th grade this fall. He enjoyed BMX racing, fishing, race cars and auto mechanics.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Shawn Johnson; and his grandfather, Jerry Johnson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandmother, Ruth Johnson; uncle, Jeffery Johnson; two sisters: Bridgette Owens and her companion, Carey, and Holly Jetter and husband, Tim; his mother, Cynthia LeeAnn Johnson; great-grandmother, Opal Dillard; great-great-aunt, Ruth Ann Shannon; numerous other extended family members; classmates; and host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road with the Rev. Ray Cheathem officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dill Cemetery with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The service will conclude with a white dove release.
The family will receive friends in the chapel tonight, from 5 until 9, and also on Saturday from noon until the 2 p.m. service time.
