“All good news from Camp Caywood,” is the way First District Commissioner Terry Caywood’s condition is now being described.

According to Lorrie Moultrie, assistant to the county commission, Caywood continues to improve after having bypass surgery Wednesday.

Caywood was admitted to Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga after Monday’s commission meeting after he began to feel ill.

Moultrie said Friday afternoon Caywood had been transferred from the cardiac care unit to a “step down” unit.

She added “at least for the next few days” visits from the public would remain limited to family members only during this next step in the recuperation process.
