Beatrice Williams Watson passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, in a Chattanooga health care facility.
She was born on March 6, 1929, in Knoxville, to the late Mark and Anna Lee Ownby Miller.
She attended schools in Cohutta, Ga. and then moved to Cleveland in 1947. She went to work at American Uniform Company in 1949, and retired in 2000 after 50 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Williams; second husband, Lloyd “Bill” Watson; and one sister, Yvonne Casson.
Bea is survived by one son, Gary Williams and his wife, Gail; one granddaughter, Toye Sowder and husband, Sammy; two great-grandchildren: Austin Sowder and Dani Sowder; her second husband’s children: Sharon Feathers and Brian Watson; two sisters: Hazel Hindman (Herb) and Alma Reagan; three brothers: Clinton Miller (Evalena), David Miller (Gayla) and Eddie Miller (Elaine); several nieces and nephews; and one special niece, Kathy Shreve.
A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road, with Dr. Sammy Hooker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with her nephews Danny Reagan, Scott Miller, Roger Hindman, Bill Smith, Mark Miller and Roger Miller serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service time.
