MoJo reel in Marlins twice

Last week, the Charleston MoJo swept the Middle Valley Marlins 5-2 and 12-4, to move up to fourth place in their league.

The Mojo are only a game and a half out of first place in the Tri-State Adult Baseball League, with a record of 7-5-1.

The Charleston-based team has have won five games in a row, and six of their last seven games.

This Sunday, the MoJo have a doubleheader with the Chattanooga Cubs at Hixson High School. The games are scheduled for 1:30 and 4 p.m.

The annual “Battle for Bradley County,” which is a big cross-county rivalry game vs. the Cleveland A’s, will be a doubleheader at 1:30 and 4 at the Old Charleston High School baseball field on July 13. Seats will be limited, so try to arrive early.

Admission is always free, so have some family fun and come watch your local team play America’s Game in a truly intense, competitive fashion.
