Archie Austin Jenkins, 67, of Cleveland and formerly of Lenoir City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 30, 2014.
He was a former member of Sixth Avenue Church of God and a current member of Cornerstone Church of God in Cleveland.
He retired from Lenoir City Utilities Board after 35 years of service. He was a charter member of Fenders Antique Tractor Engines and Homestead Show in Sweetwater.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Jenkins and Rethel Hall Jenkins of Lenoir City.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Evelyn Shields Jenkins; sons and daughter-in-law: Mark and Misty of Birchwood and Will Jason of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Rob Roberts of Minot, N.D.; granddaughter, Brittany Mainor and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren: McKala, Abbigail and Braden Mainor, all of Ooltewah; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Faye Jenkins of Ooltewah; and special niece Rita Harden and her daughter, Hope.
The body will lie in repose starting at 9 a.m. today at Sixth Avenue Church of God. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church in Lenoir City.
The funeral will follow at 7 tonight, July 2, 2014, with Connie Hair and the Rev. Ernie Varner officiating.
Family and friends will gather at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City and proceed to Lakeview Memory Mausoleum for entombment services at 1 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers are Harold Hickman, Paul Benya, Tony Bandy, Jimmy Silvey, Jim Brandon, Perry Hunley and Bobby Scott.
