Rolfe Bernard “Bud” Bloemer, 70, of Independence, Ky., passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

He retired from General Electric Aircraft Division in Evendale, Ohio, in 1997. He was an avid golfer and spent much of his retirement playing courses in Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralf A. Bloemer and Eleanor F. (Rickling) Bloemer.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda (Adams) Bloemer. He was a loving father to Cara Ann Hamlin and proud grandfather of Connor Hamlin, both of Cleveland.

He will be greatly missed by his sister, DelCaire (Jack) Grosser of Fort Thomas, Ky.; and brothers: Paul (Nancy) Bloemer of Fort Wright, Joseph Bloemer of Bellevue and Randy Bloemer of Fort Thomas; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at St. Cecilia Church in Independence.
