Ruth Jeanette Freeman Day, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

She was born on May 8, 1922, to the late Andrew Clay and Margaret Mae Freeman. She lived in the Cleveland area for the past 10 years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter, Janet Marcum; four grandchildren: Billy Marcum, Sondra Marcum Curry (Earl), Brenda Martin (Stan Edison) and Kevin Marcum (Brandy); and eight great-grandchildren: Christopher Arroyo, Maria Arroyo, Michael Rayburn, Dakota Martin, Kyra Martin, Earl Curry III, Owen Marcum and Lincoln Marcum.

A service for Jeanette will be held at 12 p.m. Monday July 7, 2014, at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, 2415 Georgetown Road N.W, with Pastor William Robinson officiating.

Interment will follow the service in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
