The Waterdogs got a third win under their belts after defeating the Red Bank Gators 394-300 on Monday evening.

“They swam really well, looked really good, and it was overall just a good meet,” coach Jocelyn Fennell declared.

The Waterdogs saw 22 high-point scorers in their impressive win over the Gators.

Tanya Sharma, Julie Bryant and David Hunt each led the way with 19 points apiece.

Ashley Bryant, Davina Sharma, Brian Lineberry, Jesus Lopez and Martin Shapoval all added 17 points to the team total.

“It is only Jesus’ second year swimming, and he’s doing really well. He has gotten better with everything,” Fennell stated.

Maya Sharma and Kyra Nipper both had a total of 15 points each, with Brendon Ruckman chipping in 14 points of his own.

Daniel Gill finished with 13 points, with Mason Cross and Christian Fetzner coming up with 12 points each.

Kathryn Estes and Joseph Keller both had 11.5 points, while Mark Moshensky had 11 points, and Haley Brock finished with 10.5 points.

Haley Buckner, Savannah Churlik, Knox Watson and Caiden Cross rounded out the high point scoring for the Waterdogs by each adding 10 points to the team total.

Coach Fennell and the other Waterdog coaches were all impressed by the teams’ performance but were especially proud of Isaiah Gill’s leg of the medley relay.

“Isaiah was at least half a length behind in the medley relay and just took off and was able to catch up and beat his opponent,” Fennell described.

With a record of 3-4, the Waterdogs hope to break even in their final meet of the regular season, which is a rescheduled contest with the Ringgold TigerSharks on Wednesday.

In their previous meeting on June 23, the TigerSharks took a bite out of the Waterdogs with a 427-315 victory.

The Chattanooga Area Swim League summer swim season concludes this weekend, following the Friday and Saturday City Meet at Warner Park in Chattanooga.
