David I. Cox, 52, of Livingston, and formerly of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning, July 9, 2014, at his residence after a long illness.

He was born in Cleveland on Oct. 18, 1961, to Patricia Ann Miller Cox and the late Ira McAllister Cox.

He was a former employee of Hutchinson in Livingston.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ira Cox; his wife, Leda Taylor Cox; stepfather, Paul Sipe; Wildow and Mae Miller; grandfather, Lloyde Cox; and brother-in-law, Jerry Johnson.

Survivors include one son, David Curtis Cox; and daughter, Kayleigh Rose Cox, both of Monroe; mother, Patricia Sipe of Livingston; sisters: Laverne Smith of Cookeville, and Lori Griggs of Livingston; three brothers: Chris Cox and wife, Donna, of Ocoee, Herbert Sipe and wife, Melinda, of Livingston, and Tim Sipe of Livingston; grandmother, Bonne Cox of Cleveland; mother-in-law, Connie Taylor of Allons; two sisters-in-law: Betty Rose Johnson and Rita Colson and husband, Doyle, of Allons; brother-in-law, Wayne Taylor and Debbie, of Allons; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Livington with interment in the Willow Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.
