The guests for the most recent meeting of the Cleveland Lions were Donna Taylor, her leader dog Luna, and Art Zimmerman of Fairfield Glade. Taylor suffers from a rare form of multiple sclerosis, which causes blindness. The mission of the “Leader Dogs for the Blind program is to empower people who are blind or visually impaired with lifelong skills for independent travel through quality leader dogs, highly effective client instruction and innovative services.” With the assistance of Lions clubs worldwide, some 14,500 individuals have “increased independence for a chance to live life to its fullest.” From left are Zimmerman; Lions President David Souders; Taylor; and Luna.
