Jacqueline “Jackie” Ingram Cathey, 76, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at the family residence.

She was a member of the Evening Light Gospel Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Cathey Jr.; her parents, James Goldman Ingram and Elsie Mae Mullinax Gates; two children: Dale Cathey and Kim Cathey; two siblings: Norma Jean Johnson and Ernest Ingram; and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her three children: Mark Cathey and wife, Rebecca (Becky), of Cleveland, Tab Cathey of Calhoun, Mitchell Gentry and Betty Gentry of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Beaty and husband, the Rev. Bill Beaty of Cleveland; and her longtime partner, Arlie Green.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Beaty officiating.

Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

Ricky Beaty, Clinton Beaty, Colt Cathey, Nolan Cathey, Sammy Brown and Jerry Robinson will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
