Janice “Peanut” Ruth Clark, 66, of Charleston, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014.
She was born on July 5, 1948, to the late John Robert Cash and Agnes Kile. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, bowling, playing pickleball, birdwatching and children. She took care of everyone’s children like they were her own.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her stepfather, Afton Kile.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children: Rebecca Corbitt (Larry), Kevin Clark (Lea Ann) and Keith Clark; four grandchildren: Jennifer Holmes, Trey Holmes, Kile Clark and Bethany Clark; four siblings: Johnny Cash, Dianne Congioloso, Kathy Kile and Michael Kile; several nieces and nephews; extended family members; and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today, Aug. 12, 2014, at Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown RD NW.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. before the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
