Betty S. Bowling, 90, of Loudon and a former resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at River Oaks Assisted Living in Loudon.
She was a member of the South Chattanooga Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Grace Mae Gaffney Morgan; first husband, Winfred Shadwick; second husband, James Bowling; son, Ray Shadwick; and siblings: James Morgan and Agnes Campbell.
Survivors include her daughters: Teresa Harris and son-in-law, Ronnie Harris, and Gail Welch and husband, Ray Welch; grandchildren: Mitchell Harris, Jenny Lipps, Michael Shadwick, Daniel Shadwick, Nicole Welch and Stacy Lemley; great-grandchildren: Emily Rollins, Tommy Rollins, Abigail Lipps, Sydney Harris, Lane Harris, Riley Harris, Peyton Hunter and Madison Buckner; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, in Greenwood Cemetery in East Chattanooga with Bishop Edward Varner officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Fike Funeral Home.
