CHATTANOOGA — Hard work and dedication have paid off for redshirt junior offensive guard Casey Hybarger, as he has received a full football scholarship for the 2014-15 school year.

The Walker Valley High School alum has been a walk-on for the Mocs of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga the past three years, and has earned two varsity letters.

“Casey is a great young man and it’s fun to reward (with a scholarship) those players who have worked hard in practice the past three years,” said UTC head coach Russ Huesman.

“He has seen limited playing time his first three years, but I know he is going to help us win some games this year and next.”

Hybarger graduated from Walker Valley in spring 2011. At WVHS, he was the offensive MVP as a senior and made the Southern Conference Athletic Directors Honor Roll in spring 2013.
