William H. Snyder, 88, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, in a local health care facility.He was retired from Magic Chef and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 272 Field Artillery Battalion.He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Nellie M. Snyder; parents, William H. Snyder Sr. and Anna Mae Snyder; brothers: Ernest Snyder, Elmer Snyder, Edgar Snyder, Glen Snyder and Ralph Snyder; sisters: Mae Edwards and Emma Kelley.
Survivors include his daughters: Janice Baker and husband, H.C.; Sherry Miller and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren: Angie Miller and husband, Kris, Adam Watson and wife, April, from Ringgold, Ga.; Kris Miller and wife, April; Kylee Rayfield and husband, Brent; eight great-grandchildren: Taylor Efaw, Logan Miller, Jordyn Meeks, Kendalyn Watson, Andrew Miller, Jack Miller, Jonas Rayfield and Jacob Rayfield; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Mount Carmel Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Thacker officiating. Military funeral honors will conclude the graveside service.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at Grissom Funeral Home.
