County graduations scheduled

Graduation exercises are planned this week for the county’s two high schools.Walker Valley High School will have its ceremony Thursday, 7:30 p.m.The ceremony will take place on the Walker Valley football field. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held at the North Cleveland Church of God.

Hugh Robison Caldwell III is the class valedictorian and Dillon Christopher Yost is the salutatorian.The Walker Valley graduating Class of 2010 has 337 students. One hundred seventy-nine seniors will graduate with a 3.0 GPA or higher. WVHS has 80 seniors graduating as Tennessee Scholars. Seventy-eight will graduate as Circle of Champions.

Principal Danny Coggin and Bradley County Schools Director Johnny McDaniel will speak at the ceremony.Bradley Central High School will have its graduation ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday on the Bear Stadium football field.Jessie Garrett is the class valedictorian and Angela Childers is the salutatorian.

The Bradley Central graduating Class of 2010 has 306 students. One hundred twenty-six seniors will graduate with a 3.0 GPA or higher. BCHS has 56 seniors who will graduate as Tennessee Scholars. Sixty-eight students will graduate as Bear Scholars.Principal Todd Shoemaker and McDaniel will speak at the ceremony.
