BRADLEY CENTRAL BASEBALL CAMP

The Bradley Baseball Camp will be held June 1-4 at the McKenzie Baseball Complex. The a daily session from 9 a..m. until noon will be held for players in grades 1-8. Cost is $50 with a $10 discount for families with to or more players involved. The eighth annual Lake Forest “Week of Baseball Excellence” camp will be held from 9 a.m. until noon the weeks of May 31- June 4 and June 7-11 at Lake Forest Middle School. Athletes ages 5 through 15 are encouraged to attend. Baseball fundamentals will be taught in a relaxed and fun environment. Local high school and college players will serve as speakers and instructors throughout the week. The annual Walker Valley Baseball Camp will be held June 1-4 at the Whitlock Complex at the Bradley County Recreation Park. CSCC TOURNAMENTS

Cleveland State will host a series of summer baseball tournaments at Cleveland State Community College on the following dates: June 18 through 20, 15-under — enter by May 21; June 25 through 27, 14-under and 13-under — enter by May 28. The 15-under, 16-under and 18-under tournaments will be four games of pool play and a championship game. The cost for the tournaments is $385 and a dozen balls. The 14-under and 13- under tournaments will be three games of pool play and championship game. The cost for this tournament is $300 and a dozen balls. Cleveland State baseball coach Mike Policastro will conduct the Youth Skills Camp for athletes ages 5-14, May 31 through June 3. The camp hours will be from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The cost for the camp is $80 which includes a camp T-shirt. The Cleveland State Youth Pitcher/Catcher Camp will run June 14-15 and a Youth Hitting Camp June 16-17, from 9 until 11:30 a.m. each day. Both camps will be for ages 8-16. The Colby Stansberry Heart of a Champion Challenge 3 on 3 tournament will be held May 22 at Cleveland Middle School. Warm up time begins at 8:30 a.m with starting at 9. A 7-on-7 soccer league for middle and high school age athletes is being formed by Walker Valley soccer coach Tom Bayliss beginning the first week of June and running until June 26 at WVHS. The cost is $300 per team if registered before May 14 and $350 after May 14. The field will be 65 x 35 yards with 50 minute games and a five minute halftime.
