Mazie Ellon Williams Ledford, 66, a resident of Cleveland, born August 19, 1943, and passed from this life on Monday, May 17, 2010. She passed away at the family residence.

She was born in Sunbright (Morgan County) to the late Henry Clyde Williams and Martha Lena Brown Williams. She was one of 12 children. She was a loving wife and mother, a homemaker, the family genealogist and she was of the Protestant faith.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie David Ledford; her infant son, Willie David Ledford Jr.; granddaughter, Samantha Ellon Thoemke; her siblings: Bobby Wayne Williams, Jenny Elizabeth Williams, Charles Marvin Williams, Ruby June Williams Adams, Wanda Ruth Williams Hardesty, Clyde Mitchell Williams, Elmer Eugene Williams and Benjamin Williams.

Survivors include by her daughters: Lena Mae Ledford, Debra Ann Ledford Crowell and husband, Derek and Sara Louise Ledford Thoemke and husband, Jack; her son, Donald Wayne Ledford and wife, Lisa; her stepdaughter, Roxanne Sigmon Colbaugh; grandchildren: Donald Wood III, Elizabeth Henderson, Adam Biesemeyer, Amanda Thornhill, Jack Thoemke III, David Thoemke, Donald Ledford Jr., Danielle Ledford, Ashely Sigmon, Tyler Colbaugh, Bryan Crowell and Sarah Hodshire; and nine great-grandchildren; brothers: Claude and Darlene Williams and Guy and Sue Williams; sister, Emma Pope; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Cheatham, the Rev. Jack Thoemke and Floyd Hardin officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Grissom Funeral Home.
