He was a retired farmer and former member of the Black Fox Saddle Club. He attended Bancroft Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Ramsey Parker; parents, James and Edna Parker; sisters: Aulma Buckner and Dorothy Ramsey; and brothers: Paul, Clifton, Louie, Perry, Aud and James Parker.
Survivors include his children: Shirley Ledford and husband, Bill, of Cleveland and Larry Parker and wife, Debbie, and Betty Ledford, all of McDonald; grandchildren: Alan Ledford of McDonald, Michael and Sharon Parker, both of Cleveland, Matthew and Jamina Parker, both of McDonald, Ashley and Amy Parker, both of McDonald, and Chris and Traci Ledford of Wickliffe, Ky.; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Stansberry and the Rev. Norman Stallings officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery with Alan and Nathan Ledford, Matthew and Ashley Parker, Mark Burrell and Chad Buckner serving as pallbearers.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
