She was born in Carbondale, Ill. Jan. 26, 1956.
She graduated from Waterloo High School and Belleville Community College. She received a Bachelors degree, suma cum laud from Bryan College in Dayton, Ga.
Rice attended the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church where she served the Lord vividly throughout her life.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Mark S. Rice of Cleveland, daughter, Alanna Rice and A. J. Rice; parents, Betty Reifschnider Sinn and Merlin Sinn of Titusville, Fla.; mother-in-law and sister in law; Joyce and Jo Rice; grandchildren: Adlyn Rice, daughter of Chad and Shayla Rice; Garrett Robinson and Jacob Rice, sons of Brian Rice, all of Crawfordsville, Ind.; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Mike Dreps; brother and sister in law, Scott and Jennifer Sinn; nieces: Aerica Dreps Barber and Kelsey Sinn also survive.
A Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be held Wednesday May 26, 2010, at 7 p.m. from the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Smith officiating.
A gathering for family and friends will be held after the service.
Interment will be in the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church Memorial Gardens and will be held private for the family.
The family requests memorials be made to the Children’s Ministry at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 3405 Peerless Road N. W. Cleveland, TN., 37312.
