Myrtle M.J. Maney, 84, a resident of Rossville, Ga., passed away Monday evening, May 24, 2010, in a Fort Oglethorpe hospital.

She had spent most of her life in Bradley County.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Samantha Elrod; and her daughter, Barbara Jean Parris.

She was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children: Patricia Prince and Judy Cronan, both of Old Fort, William “Bo” Maney and his wife, Brenda, of Cleveland, Beverly Ellison and her husband, Earl, of Rossville; 18 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010, from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Floyd Boggess and the Rev. David Bowers officiating.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Calvin Prince, Jackie Prince, Scotty Cronan, Billy Maney, Cody Waters and Dustin Waters serving as pallbearers. Gary Cronan, Albert Cronan, Mitchell Cronan and Chris Cronan will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
