He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School and served in the U.S. Army 1971-1974.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Lowery and Eunice Lowery Kerr.
He is survived by his son, Heath Lowery; sister, Nancy Pell of Cleveland; brother, Anthony Lowery of Arlington; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held in Arlington on May 10, 2010. He was buried in National Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Wade Funeral Home in Arlington had charge of arrangements.
